Clarence Wood, Of Counsel, founded Wood, Atter & Wolf in 1957. With a strong civil and criminal trial background, Mr. Wood represents the interests of individuals and families from intake to verdict. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Mr. Wood has seen many changes in Jacksonville over the years. While Jacksonville and the surrounding areas have changed over the years, Mr. Wood's work ethic, dedication, and loyalty to his clients have remained the same.
Michael Atter joined the firm in 1982. The Wood and Atter families had been friends for many years and it just made sense for Mr. Atter to join forces with Clarence Wood to represent clients in the North Florida area. As a former State Attorney and a civil trial lawyer, Mr. Atter has continues the fine tradition of aggressive and compassionate representation of clients. The firm's managing partner has a sincere interest in making sure that each client gets the dedicated representation necessary to get the job done.
David Wolf joined the firm in 1998. With broad experience in the areas of personal injury, child injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse, Mr. Wolf dedicates his time and effort to injury victims and their families. Mr. Wolf is a former contract attorney with the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services and has a solid understanding of the every day hardships faced by individuals and families. In 2008, Mr. Wolf was promoted to a named partner of the firm and continues his work in these practice areas. In addition, Mr. Wolf is the author of the book – The ABCs of Child Injury – Legal Rights of the Injured Child – What Every Parent Should Know. In addition, Mr. Wolf is the author of the Florida Child Injury Lawyer Blog and the editor of the Child Injury Lawyer Blog. As part of the North Florida community, he serves as special counsel and on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Jewish Community Alliance. Mr. Wolf is also active with the Creeks Athletic Association – Soccer where he coaches academy style soccer to boys and girls. Wood, Atter & Wolf, P.A. sponsors the Twisters 3 v. 3 Soccer Teams. The Twisters Boys team and the Twisters Girls team participated in tournaments in Florida and Georgia in the Summer of 2010 and both teams competed at the 3 v. 3 National Championship at the ESPN (Disney) Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida.
Helen S. Atter joined the firm in 2010. Ms. Atter is the managing partner of the Ponte Vedra Beach Office which serves clients in the areas of business formation and transactions, tax, corporate, sports law, intellectual property, franchising, licensing, civil and commercial litigation and estate planning. With almost 30 years of experience, Ms. Atter has represented a wide variety of businesses. As Associate General Counsel and VP of HR and of Corporate Compliance for the PGA TOUR and General Counsel for the World Golf Foundation (and its divisions, the World Golf Hall of Fame, The First Tee and GOLF 20/20), Ms. Atter handled day to day and long term legal needs of these sports organizations. Ms. Atter has a keen desire and purpose to provide legal advice and representation to help promote and protect the interests of her business clients.
Lenorae Atter joined the firm in 2008. Ms. Atter brought a wealth of rounded experience to the firm from her work in the legal field, public relations, and politics. She focuses her practice in the areas of personal injury, automobile accidents, trucking accidents, slip and fall incidents, closed head injuries, and child injuries. Ms. Atter has family and professional contacts in Jacksonville, Carrabelle, Apalachicola, and Tallahassee, Florida.
Keith Maynard joined the firm in 2010. With years of experience as a former Public Defender and as a family law, criminal law, consumer law, bankruptcy law, and real estate law practitioner, Mr. Maynard dedicates his time to these practice areas for the firm. Mr. Maynard takes pride in his work and representation to those clients who, in many instances, need it the most.
Matthew Harrod joined the firm in 2010. With a strong business background combined with his law degree and advanced tax degree (LL.M.), Mr. Harrod focuses his practice areas in estate planning, tax, probate, guardianship, and elder law matters.
Gregory Gilbert joined the firm in 2011. After graduation, Mr. Gilbert obtained experience as an independent contracting attorney and consultant by researching complex legal issues and consulting firms on the newest trends in consumer bankruptcies. Mr. Gilbert focuses and dedicates his time towards consumer and business bankruptcies, foreclosure defense, consumer law, criminal law, and commercial litigation.
